Hospitality
You're a guest, not a transaction. Greetings, friends — I mean it.
A photographer and multidisciplinary creative in Lafayette, Indiana — here to help people feel seen.

I grew up in St. Louis making things, and a high-school film-photography class flipped a switch — I realized I could build a life out of documenting real, unscripted moments. That was more than seven years ago. I'm in Lafayette, Indiana now, and I still feel it every time I pick up a camera.
Over the years the toolkit grew — photography, video, brand and graphic design, websites, content — but the mission never moved: help mission-driven people, organizations, and communities tell stories that matter and build visual legacies they can keep. However I show up, I'm really there to help people feel seen.
I used to call this JWL Story Alchemist. Nice name — but it made the work sound like a trick, and it was never a trick. So it's JWL Creative Co. now: plainer, truer, more like how it's always worked — one person who pays deep attention. Noticing the in-between moments is the part my brain is wired for; as an autistic creative, I take that focus as a gift and point it at your story.
My faith and my family are the center of my life — they're the reason I care so much about yours. Hire me and you get someone who treats your day like it's ours to protect, and who'll welcome you like a friend the whole way through.
I try to live by a phrase I love: a human being, not a human doing. I take my creative resets in the woods and open air — it's where I catch my breath, and where a lot of my prints come from. That same presence is what I bring to your day: fully here, not rushing to the next thing.
Blessings,
Joshua

The ground I stand on, and why I keep my word and do careful work.
The center of it all — mine, and yours.
